Impey Studio was co‑founded by Hilda Impey and Blanca López Serentill, whose complementary strengths drive our studio’s success across the Gulf and North Africa.
Hilda brings more than twenty years of international experience in design. A graduate of Central Saint Martins, she studied under Carole Collet, Catherine Harper, and Sharon Baurley, whose work in design futures and sustainable systems shaped her early approach. Her practice combines material research, textile knowledge, and regenerative thinking. Within the studio’s Essence Lab, she leads ongoing inquiry into the relationship between texture, technology, and place, guiding the creative direction of each project with clarity and intent.
Blanca brings strategic and operational leadership grounded in economics and business management. She ensures the studio moves with independence, financial clarity, and long-term focus. Her editorial work spans the Dubai Graphic Encyclopedia and Brusselssprout, a platform for emerging art and critical discourse. Each reflects her view of design as a form of dialogue. Her approach seamlessly connects creative ambition with business insight, enabling the studio to grow with intention and cultural awareness.
Together, they lead a studio where design is shaped not just by form, but by thought. Where dialogue, discipline, and cultural awareness guide each project from concept to completion.
