Job Role:
As a Senior Interior Designer in a boutique studio, your role will involve leading the design team and overseeing multiple projects from conception to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring that all designs are innovative, functional, and aesthetically pleasing, while meeting the client's needs.
Here are some of the key tasks you will take on in this position:
Design Leadership: Lead the design team, providing guidance and support as needed, and ensuring that all designs meet quality standards.
Project Management: Oversee the design aspects of multiple projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and communication with clients, contractors, and vendors.
Design Concept Development: Develop innovative and functional design concepts that meet the needs and expectations of clients.
Material Selection: Select appropriate materials, finishes, and products for each project, taking into account factors such as durability, sustainability, and cost.
Design Development: Develop detailed design plans, including technical drawings, specifications, and schedules.
Coordination with Other Professionals: Work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to coordinate schedules, budgets, and designs.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all work meets quality standards and client expectations.
Budget Management: Manage project budgets by tracking expenses and ensuring projects are completed within budget.
Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding the design aspects of the project, including providing progress updates, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and work with the marketing team to promote the studio's services.
A Senior Interior Designer’s role requires strong design skills, project management skills, effective communication with both clients and other professionals, and the ability to lead and mentor a design team. You are responsible for ensuring that all projects meet quality standards, are completed on time and within budget, and maintain a high level of client satisfaction.
Background & Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture or relevant industry
Experience: 8-10 years of experience as an interior designer in an interior design office
Technical skills: Computer skills with proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD and Adobe Photoshop
