Job Role:
As a studio design manager for an Interior Design Firm, your role would be to oversee the studio's day-to-day operations, support the senior leadership team, and ensure that the firm achieves its business goals. Here are some of the key roles you might take on in this position:
Plans Creation: Create a plan for every studio project, including deliverables, timeline, and resource allocation.
Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the studio, including managing staff schedules, coordinating project timelines, and ensuring that work is completed on time and within budget.
Management Support: Assist the senior leadership team in ensuring that work is distributed and completed efficiently.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all work meets quality standards and client expectations.
Design Leadership: Lead the design team, providing guidance and support as needed and ensuring that all designs meet quality standards.
Coordination with Other Professionals: Work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to coordinate schedules, budgets, and designs
Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding project progress aspects, including providing updates, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
Your role would require strong technical skills, practical project management skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with both clients and other professionals, as well as the capacity to work collaboratively within a team. You would be responsible for contributing to the successful execution of projects and ensuring that all work meets quality standards and client expectations. With experience and skill development, you may have the opportunity to take on more senior roles within the firm.
Background & Skills:
Education: Bachelor's degree in architecture, construction, interior design or related field.
Experience: 8 years of experience in managing architecture/interior design studios.
Technical skills: Computer skills with proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and BIM.
