Oceans Golf Club is located on the Red Sea in Saudi Arabia. The design takes inspiration from the surrounding landscape, using local materials, colors, and textures. The approach is understated, including only what fits naturally.

The color palette features local shades. Warm neutrals, tan, and hints of green echo the course and its surroundings. Materials are layered in a straightforward way, creating a calm atmosphere that complements the landscape without copying it.

Traditional crafts play a role in the design. Sadu weaving and basketry are updated with modern methods, adding texture and meaning. These touches link the interior to local heritage in an original way.

“Sadu weaving adds texture, and basketry brings rhythm. We chose both carefully.”

Amber tones capture the light at dusk, while patterns are inspired by Saudi visual traditions. The design uses clear lines, making the space feel familiar without being nostalgic. It is rooted in the natural qualities of the land.

Deep reds and burgundy are inspired by traditional rugs, and bronze accents provide contrast. Subtle touches of green connect the interiors to the landscape, keeping the inside and outside in harmony.

Inspiration and Use of Reference Imagery

Our work draws inspiration from the world around us, including urban environments, digital platforms, social media, and other publication and or accessible sources. We make every reasonable effort to identify and credit original authors and creators where possible. In cases where the original source cannot be determined, this is entirely unintentional. All mood boards and reference imagery are used strictly for internal inspiration to help define the atmosphere, tone, and conceptual direction. We do not intend to replicate, copy, or otherwise infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any author, artist, or creator. Such images are not used for commercial purposes, but solely as non-commercial visual references to guide our creative process.
